Adolescent Psychiatric & Addiction Inpatient Treatment Program

MeadowWood Behavioral Health’s inpatient program for adolescents is for individuals experiencing a crisis from a mental health disorder. We offer a safe and secure environment to help adolescents regain control of their lives.

Psychiatric Inpatient Program for Adolescents

Adolescence can be a trying time in a person’s life. This stage of development can be ripe with pressure to fit in with peers and perform well academically, all the while experiencing a number of physiological changes that can also bring about stress. These aspects of being an adolescent can be troubling and even more emotionally taxing when a youth is battling the symptoms of a mental health condition, such as depression and anxiety.

As a leading provider of mental health treatment, MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital is proud to offer beneficial treatment for the psychiatric issues that plague young people most. Our exemplary inpatient program for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 includes individualized treatment planning that is tailored to meet the needs of every young person who comes to us for care. Treatment plans, which are initially formulated at the time of admission, detail every element of care implemented and goals that are worked towards while an adolescent receives care at MeadowWood.

Treatment Modalities

Treatment takes place in a spacious, bright, and welcoming environment designed to elicit tranquility and true healing. Furthermore, various treatment methods and modalities are utilized within our adolescent inpatient program so as to ensure the most positive treatment outcomes. The following treatment methods are those that are woven into each youth’s care in this program:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Family Sessions
  • Group Therapy
  • Psycho-education Groups
  • Recreation
  • Pet Therapy
  • Medication Management Services

Expert Care

The above beneficial services are facilitated by MeadowWood’s staff of qualified professionals, which is comprised of psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and medical consultants. These professionals conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations of each patient’s needs and are able to offer ongoing support and guidance as the therapeutic process is navigated.

Additionally, MeadowWood is pleased to offer invaluable education services so as to meet the educational needs of the youth in this program. These services are coordinated with each young person’s respective school so that academic achievement is not stunted while receiving advantageous mental health treatment.

Program Goal

The overarching goal of this program is to stabilize youth so that mental health issues are appropriately treated in the most efficient manner possible. In doing this, we hope that the youth who come to us for care can then move on to a less intensive form of treatment and resume life equipped with useful skills that can benefit for a lifetime.

What Past Clients Say

I came here during the worst time of my life. I had so much anxiety coming in but the girls in the admissions area were so pleasant and answered all my questions. The hospital was clean and staff were friendly and helpful on the unit. The medicine they gave me helped so much, and I finally feel like myself again. If you’re willing to participate and go to all the groups, you will get something out of the program. I went right from inpatient to their day program for a week afterwards, and that helped me stay focused too.
